Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she took flute lessons and harpsichord for three years. She was able to survive by surviving on a student stipend, and work part-time jobs. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy in her performance when compared to that of her classmates. She started to think about other options. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. She quit the band shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. From 1977 to 1980 she served as the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Then, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva and it was released in the year 1992. It received lots of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album that was released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece of her artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let You Go... The album is the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox (born December 25 1955) is a Scottish musician and political activist. After minor successes as a part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 80s. Lennox began her solo career with her first album Diva in the year 1992. This was the source of several hit songs, including"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the 1995 studio album, features the cover versions of some popular songs such as No More I Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has recorded six solo studio albums and one compilation album.
